I’ve been helping people tell their stories from the start of my career, with a book and a series of booklets that I helped write and edit for Dean Emeritus George K. Makechnie while in grad school at Boston University. 

What I learned from sitting with “Dean George” every Saturday for a year is that personal stories come from the heart. And the honor of writing and editing someone else’s story is a heartfelt commitment. 

When we work together, I immerse myself in your world to capture and communicate your essence, insight, voice, and perspective. The result is a book or article that delights your readers and makes you proud.

Define & Discover

The process begins with a thought-provoking questionnaire designed to help you consider all angles of your project, from the big idea to the small yet critical details that will shape your success as an author. From there, we’ll have an in-depth ideation and mapping session to plan your project. The result is a detailed outline of your unique story.

I Write (or Edit) Your Book

This is where the fun begins! If I’m ghostwriting the whole project, I do all the necessary legwork, including research and interviewing. Once I’m ready to start writing, we’ll work out a plan for your input and review. If you’re doing the writing, I’ll be your sounding board and accountability partner until you’re ready for me to edit the article or manuscript.

Review, Polish, Launch!

For this phase, I often bring in colleagues to help with the finishing touches, including copy editing, proofreading, and, if you’re self-publishing, design, and print. If you need marketing services, I can help with content marketing and have colleagues who specifically work in book promotion. I can coordinate it all for you, or if you have support, I am happy to make referrals.
